My purpose is to publish a contemporary archive of the workers in Fabrika.
The archives of the factory have indeed been lost and the territory of the factory being used now both for production unit and as an art space, it is important to gather the portraits of all the workers of the place in its current situation, hence making a portrait of the factory in its variety.
With Olga Djola, we have been explaining our project to the people that we met in Fabrika and Olga shot portraits of all those who were interested in the project: the collective of workers of course, but also the people guarding the factory or the exhibition spaces, those renting out offices etc.
The portraits are printed and published in a gazette. This gazette is our contemporary interpretation of factory magazines as they were made in Soviet time. (see more details below)
